# Petcube vs Keynine Academy

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Keynine Academy at 100% against Petcube's 25%. Keynine Academy also leads on rating (4.9 vs 3.7) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Petcube's advantage is ratings volume (1K vs 21) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Keynine Academy holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Petcube has 1K ratings behind it against 21, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 25% of Petcube's written reviews are positive against 100% of Keynine Academy's.

Petcube ships an update fortnightly, Keynine Academy every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
