# Blink App vs Securus Mobile

The clearest difference is rating: Securus Mobile at 4.6 against Blink App's 2.8. Securus Mobile also leads on ratings volume (50K vs 57) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 4 months). Blink App's advantage is review sentiment (41% vs 13%) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 16.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Securus Mobile holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Securus Mobile has 50K ratings behind it against 57, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 41% of Blink App's written reviews are positive against 13% of Securus Mobile's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Blink App ships an update every 4 months, Securus Mobile every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 28, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
