# SimpList vs Simple List App

The clearest difference is ads: SimpList at none against Simple List App's shown. SimpList also leads on rating (4.9 vs 4.7). Simple List App's advantage is ratings volume (399 vs 10) and review sentiment (88% vs 75%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SimpList sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Simple List App sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SimpList holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Simple List App has 399 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of SimpList's written reviews are positive against 88% of Simple List App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SimpList ships an update monthly, Simple List App every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
