# Genius Maps vs Sirca Navigation

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Sirca Navigation at none against Genius Maps's 15. Sirca Navigation also leads on iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). Genius Maps's advantage is ratings volume (1.3K vs 24). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Genius Maps sells 15 one-off in-app purchases. Sirca Navigation asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.1 for Genius Maps against 4.2 for Sirca Navigation. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Genius Maps has 1.3K ratings behind it against 24, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 57% and 57% positive.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
