# Roadkill Radar vs Soma NPT

The clearest difference is rating: Roadkill Radar at 5.0 against Soma NPT's 2.8. Roadkill Radar also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and iOS requirement (10.1 vs 15.0). Soma NPT's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 10 months) and review sentiment (72% vs 50%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Soma NPT sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $49.99 per month. Roadkill Radar asks for nothing beyond the download.

Roadkill Radar holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Soma NPT has 11 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Roadkill Radar's written reviews are positive against 72% of Soma NPT's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Roadkill Radar ships an update every 10 months, Soma NPT weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
