# Make Ready TV vs Proton Drive

The clearest difference is rating: Proton Drive at 4.1 against Make Ready TV's 2.4. Proton Drive also leads on ratings volume (1.2K vs 29) and update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). Make Ready TV's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and device support (4 vs 2). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Make Ready TV sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Proton Drive sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Proton Drive holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 2.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Proton Drive has 1.2K ratings behind it against 29, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 31% of Make Ready TV's written reviews are positive against 37% of Proton Drive's.

Make Ready TV ships an update monthly, Proton Drive fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
