# Make Ready TV vs Proton Pass

The clearest difference is rating: Proton Pass at 4.8 against Make Ready TV's 2.4. Proton Pass also leads on review sentiment (67% vs 31%) and ratings volume (8.7K vs 29). Make Ready TV's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and device support (4 vs 2). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Make Ready TV sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Proton Pass sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $35.90 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Proton Pass holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 2.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Proton Pass has 8.7K ratings behind it against 29, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 31% of Make Ready TV's written reviews are positive against 67% of Proton Pass's.

Make Ready TV ships an update monthly, Proton Pass fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
