# Map My Tracks vs Walking Distance Tracker

Map My Tracks and Walking Distance Tracker both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 89% of Map My Tracks's written reviews are positive against 42% of Walking Distance Tracker's. Walking Distance Tracker's advantage is ratings volume (3.1K vs 332) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 weeks). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Map My Tracks sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Walking Distance Tracker sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
