# Hidden City vs Hidden Journey 2

The clearest difference is update cadence: Hidden City at every 9 days against Hidden Journey 2's every 2 months. Hidden City also leads on review sentiment (72% vs 60%) and chart position (#116 vs unranked). Hidden Journey 2's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.3) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hidden City sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Hidden Journey 2 sells 12 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Hidden Journey 2 holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 95K and 20K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 72% of Hidden City's written reviews are positive against 60% of Hidden Journey 2's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Hidden City ships an update every 9 days, Hidden Journey 2 every 2 months. Both last shipped on November 1, 2026.
