# Saxbys vs Pita Chip

The clearest difference is rating: Saxbys at 4.8 against Pita Chip's 3.3. Saxbys also leads on ratings volume (1.6K vs 7) and update cadence (every 3 months vs every 7 months). Pita Chip's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Saxbys holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Saxbys has 1.6K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 48% of Saxbys's written reviews are positive against 50% of Pita Chip's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Saxbys ships an update every 3 months, Pita Chip every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
