# Breitbart vs Western Journal

The clearest difference is update cadence: Breitbart at fortnightly against Western Journal's every 3 months. Breitbart also leads on ratings volume (1.8K vs 83). Western Journal's advantage is rating (4.2 vs 3.9). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Western Journal holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Breitbart has 1.8K ratings behind it against 83, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 35% of Breitbart's written reviews are positive against 30% of Western Journal's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Breitbart ships an update fortnightly, Western Journal every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
