# Higher Logic vs Fireflies

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Higher Logic at 100% against Fireflies's 54%. Higher Logic also leads on monetization model (ad-supported vs freemium). Fireflies's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 3.7) and update cadence (every 8 days vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Fireflies holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fireflies has 5.4K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Higher Logic's written reviews are positive against 54% of Fireflies's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Higher Logic ships an update every 2 months, Fireflies every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
