# Sjónvarp Símans vs Bíóklúbbur

Sjónvarp Símans and Bíóklúbbur both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Bíóklúbbur's written reviews are positive against 17% of Sjónvarp Símans's. Bíóklúbbur also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 16.4). Sjónvarp Símans's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 34 months) and ratings volume (51 vs 6). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Sjónvarp Símans holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sjónvarp Símans has 51 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 17% of Sjónvarp Símans's written reviews are positive against 100% of Bíóklúbbur's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Sjónvarp Símans ships an update every 2 weeks, Bíóklúbbur every 34 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
