# SHAREit vs Content Transfer

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Content Transfer at none against SHAREit's 13. Content Transfer also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6). SHAREit's advantage is ratings volume (151K vs 1) and chart position (#70 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SHAREit sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per 7 days. Content Transfer asks for nothing beyond the download.

Content Transfer holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SHAREit has 151K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

SHAREit ships an update fortnightly, Content Transfer every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
