# SHAREit vs FileShare

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: FileShare at none against SHAREit's 13. FileShare also leads on review sentiment (50% vs 28%). SHAREit's advantage is ratings volume (151K vs 7) and chart position (#84 vs unranked). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SHAREit sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per 7 days. FileShare asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for SHAREit against 4.7 for FileShare. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SHAREit has 151K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 28% of SHAREit's written reviews are positive against 50% of FileShare's.

SHAREit ships an update fortnightly, FileShare every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
