# SHAREit vs Air Transfer

The clearest difference is rating: SHAREit at 4.6 against Air Transfer's 2.3. SHAREit also leads on ratings volume (151K vs 4) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). Air Transfer's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 10). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SHAREit sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per 7 days. Air Transfer asks for nothing beyond the download.

SHAREit holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SHAREit has 151K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

SHAREit ships an update fortnightly, Air Transfer every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
