# Easy Answer (Math Homework) vs SymCalc

The clearest difference is rating: SymCalc at 4.5 against Easy Answer (Math Homework)'s 3.0. SymCalc also leads on ratings volume (169 vs 3). Easy Answer (Math Homework)'s advantage is review sentiment (88% vs 57%) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Easy Answer (Math Homework) sells 9 one-off in-app purchases and SymCalc sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $3.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SymCalc holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SymCalc has 169 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 88% of Easy Answer (Math Homework)'s written reviews are positive against 57% of SymCalc's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Easy Answer (Math Homework) ships an update every 2 weeks, SymCalc every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
