# RePeter vs SCN

The clearest difference is rating: RePeter at 5.0 against SCN's 3.4. RePeter also leads on update cadence (every 5 months vs every 68 months). SCN's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ratings volume (27 vs 2). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. RePeter sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. SCN asks for nothing beyond the download.

RePeter holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SCN has 27 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of RePeter's written reviews are positive against 63% of SCN's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

RePeter ships an update every 5 months, SCN every 68 months. The most recent releases landed on September 24, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
