# Notepad vs iShia Note

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: iShia Note at none against Notepad's 7. iShia Note also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (100% vs 84%). Notepad's advantage is update cadence (every 8 days vs every 21 months) and rating (4.8 vs 4.4). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notepad sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. iShia Note asks for nothing beyond the download.

Notepad holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Notepad has 29K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 84% of Notepad's written reviews are positive against 100% of iShia Note's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Notepad ships an update every 8 days, iShia Note every 21 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
