# Notepad vs Squadle Workflows

The clearest difference is rating: Notepad at 4.8 against Squadle Workflows's 4.0. Notepad also leads on update cadence (every 8 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (28K vs 4). Squadle Workflows's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 7) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notepad sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Squadle Workflows asks for nothing beyond the download.

Notepad holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Notepad has 28K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 84% of Notepad's written reviews are positive against 100% of Squadle Workflows's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Notepad ships an update every 8 days, Squadle Workflows every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
