# Notepad vs Journalli

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Journalli at none against Notepad's 7. Journalli also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Notepad's advantage is ratings volume (29K vs 1). On price, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notepad sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Journalli asks for nothing beyond the download.

Journalli holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Notepad has 29K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
