# Notepad vs NoteFly

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Notepad at 29K against NoteFly's 1. Notepad also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 2 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notepad sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and NoteFly sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

NoteFly holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Notepad has 29K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Notepad ships an update every 9 days, NoteFly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 8, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
