# Mindown vs Auer Jot

The clearest difference is rating: Mindown at 5.0 against Auer Jot's 4.3. Mindown also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 26.4). Auer Jot's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and review sentiment (100% vs 67%). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mindown sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Auer Jot asks for nothing beyond the download.

Mindown holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Auer Jot has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Mindown's written reviews are positive against 100% of Auer Jot's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Mindown ships an update every 2 months, Auer Jot every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
