# IndiGo vs Etihad

The clearest difference is rating: Etihad at 4.4 against IndiGo's 3.7. Etihad also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs monthly) and review sentiment (20% vs 6%). IndiGo's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Etihad holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Etihad has 18K ratings behind it against 1.8K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 6% of IndiGo's written reviews are positive against 20% of Etihad's.

IndiGo ships an update monthly, Etihad every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
