# Timer for Rehearsal vs Countdown Timer

The clearest difference is monetization model: Timer for Rehearsal at free with in-app purchases against Countdown Timer's subscription. Countdown Timer's advantage is review sentiment (76% vs 63%) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 weeks). On price, rating, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Timer for Rehearsal sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Countdown Timer sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Timer for Rehearsal holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 132 and 371 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 63% of Timer for Rehearsal's written reviews are positive against 76% of Countdown Timer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Timer for Rehearsal ships an update every 6 weeks, Countdown Timer every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
