# SPS vs Time

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Time at 100% against SPS's 0%. Time also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months) and device support (3 vs 1). SPS's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 3.0) and ads (none vs shown). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SPS holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 6 and 2 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of SPS's written reviews are positive against 100% of Time's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SPS ships an update every 3 months, Time monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
