# Amazon WorkSpaces vs Omnissa Horizon Client

The clearest difference is rating: Omnissa Horizon Client at 4.6 against Amazon WorkSpaces's 1.1. Omnissa Horizon Client also leads on monetization model (free vs paid) and ratings volume (337 vs 57). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Omnissa Horizon Client holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 1.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Omnissa Horizon Client has 337 ratings behind it against 57, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 12% of Amazon WorkSpaces's written reviews are positive against 9% of Omnissa Horizon Client's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Amazon WorkSpaces ships an update every 5 months, Omnissa Horizon Client every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
