# Readfeed vs TBR

The clearest difference is rating: TBR at 4.5 against Readfeed's 3.8. TBR also leads on ratings volume (4.4K vs 9) and update cadence (weekly vs every 6 weeks). Readfeed's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 10) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TBR sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Readfeed asks for nothing beyond the download.

TBR holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TBR has 4.4K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 57% of Readfeed's written reviews are positive against 71% of TBR's.

Readfeed ships an update every 6 weeks, TBR weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
