# Monitor Mobile vs 2degrees NZ

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Monitor Mobile at 60% against 2degrees NZ's 4%. Monitor Mobile also leads on iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.6). 2degrees NZ's advantage is rating (2.2 vs 1.0) and update cadence (weekly vs every 6 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

2degrees NZ holds the better App Store score, 2.2 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 2degrees NZ has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of Monitor Mobile's written reviews are positive against 4% of 2degrees NZ's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Monitor Mobile ships an update every 6 months, 2degrees NZ weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
