# House Design Pro vs RenoPlan

The clearest difference is price: RenoPlan at Free against House Design Pro's $5.99. RenoPlan also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 months) and rating (4.5 vs 4.2). House Design Pro's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 6) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 14.0). On review sentiment, ratings volume, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

RenoPlan is free to download; House Design Pro costs $5.99 up front. RenoPlan sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. House Design Pro asks for nothing beyond the download.

RenoPlan holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 850 and 752 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of House Design Pro's written reviews are positive against 62% of RenoPlan's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

House Design Pro ships an update every 6 months, RenoPlan fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
