# BTBN vs Redeem TV

The clearest difference is ads: BTBN at none against Redeem TV's shown. BTBN also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.6). Redeem TV's advantage is update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 85 months) and ratings volume (646 vs 2). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

BTBN holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Redeem TV has 646 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

BTBN ships an update every 85 months, Redeem TV every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
