# ProCam vs Prime

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Prime at none against ProCam's 9. Prime also leads on price ($2.99 vs $9.99) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). ProCam's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs every 4 months) and rating (4.6 vs 4.2). On ads and device support there is nothing between them.

ProCam costs $9.99 and Prime $2.99 up front. ProCam sells 9 one-off in-app purchases. Prime asks for nothing beyond the download.

ProCam holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ProCam has 35K ratings behind it against 66, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 64% of ProCam's written reviews are positive against 55% of Prime's.

ProCam ships an update every 6 days, Prime every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
