# ProCam vs Manual

The clearest difference is update cadence: ProCam at weekly against Manual's every 2 months. ProCam also leads on rating (4.6 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (35K vs 279). Manual's advantage is price ($3.99 vs $9.99) and iOS requirement (11.4 vs 15.0). On ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

ProCam costs $9.99 and Manual $3.99 up front. ProCam sells 9 one-off in-app purchases and Manual sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ProCam holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ProCam has 35K ratings behind it against 279, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 64% of ProCam's written reviews are positive against 41% of Manual's.

ProCam ships an update weekly, Manual every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
