# ProCam vs ProShot

The clearest difference is update cadence: ProCam at every 6 days against ProShot's every 3 weeks. ProCam also leads on ratings volume (35K vs 1.3K). ProShot's advantage is review sentiment (74% vs 64%) and price ($7.99 vs $9.99). On rating, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

ProCam costs $9.99 and ProShot $7.99 up front. ProCam sells 9 one-off in-app purchases and ProShot sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ProCam holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ProCam has 35K ratings behind it against 1.3K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 64% of ProCam's written reviews are positive against 74% of ProShot's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ProCam ships an update every 6 days, ProShot every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
