# CHOPT vs GrillMark

The clearest difference is ads: CHOPT at none against GrillMark's shown. CHOPT also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 16 months) and ratings volume (43K vs 61). GrillMark's advantage is monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for CHOPT against 4.9 for GrillMark. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CHOPT has 43K ratings behind it against 61, so its average is the more settled of the two.

CHOPT ships an update every 2 weeks, GrillMark every 16 months. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
