# CHOPT vs The Sipp App

CHOPT and The Sipp App both sit at 4.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of The Sipp App's written reviews are positive against 60% of CHOPT's. The Sipp App also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). CHOPT's advantage is ratings volume (43K vs 5). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for CHOPT against 5.0 for The Sipp App. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CHOPT has 43K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 60% of CHOPT's written reviews are positive against 100% of The Sipp App's.

CHOPT ships an update every 2 weeks, The Sipp App fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
