# CHOPT vs Tipsy Scoop

The clearest difference is monetization model: Tipsy Scoop at free against CHOPT's free with in-app purchases. Tipsy Scoop also leads on iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.2). CHOPT's advantage is ratings volume (43K vs 2). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for CHOPT against 5.0 for Tipsy Scoop. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CHOPT has 43K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

CHOPT ships an update every 2 weeks, Tipsy Scoop every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
