# Solitaire 7 vs Spider Solitaire ⋄

The clearest difference is rating: Spider Solitaire ⋄ at 4.6 against Solitaire 7's 3.7. Spider Solitaire ⋄ also leads on ratings volume (1.5K vs 16) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 4 months). Solitaire 7's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ads (none vs shown). On price, review sentiment and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Spider Solitaire ⋄ sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Solitaire 7 asks for nothing beyond the download.

Spider Solitaire ⋄ holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Spider Solitaire ⋄ has 1.5K ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 86% of Solitaire 7's written reviews are positive against 82% of Spider Solitaire ⋄'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Solitaire 7 ships an update every 4 months, Spider Solitaire ⋄ every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
