# GradientWallpaper vs Retouch Pro

The clearest difference is rating: GradientWallpaper at 5.0 against Retouch Pro's 4.2. Retouch Pro's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 65 months) and ratings volume (20 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

GradientWallpaper costs $0.49 and Retouch Pro $0.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

GradientWallpaper holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Retouch Pro has 20 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

GradientWallpaper ships an update every 65 months, Retouch Pro every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
