# HearBuilder Sequencing vs Sequences

The clearest difference is rating: Sequences at 5.0 against HearBuilder Sequencing's 2.9. HearBuilder Sequencing's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2) and review sentiment (22% vs 0%). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sequences sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month. HearBuilder Sequencing asks for nothing beyond the download.

Sequences holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HearBuilder Sequencing has 17 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 22% of HearBuilder Sequencing's written reviews are positive against 0% of Sequences's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on September 27, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
