# FineCut vs Doodle Drawing

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Doodle Drawing at 100% against FineCut's 50%. Doodle Drawing also leads on iOS requirement (8.3 vs 17.0). FineCut's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 2.0) and in-app purchases (none vs 4). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Doodle Drawing sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. FineCut asks for nothing beyond the download.

FineCut holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 4 and 1 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of FineCut's written reviews are positive against 100% of Doodle Drawing's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

FineCut ships an update every 2 months, Doodle Drawing every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
