# Emphasis vs LifeBack

The clearest difference is update cadence: LifeBack at every 2 days against Emphasis's fortnightly. Emphasis's advantage is device support (4 vs 1) and iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Emphasis sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $3.49 per month and LifeBack sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Emphasis ships an update fortnightly, LifeBack every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
