# Spades Gold vs Hokm+

The clearest difference is update cadence: Hokm+ at every 6 weeks against Spades Gold's every 5 months. Hokm+ also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.6) and ratings volume (45K vs 4.3K). Spades Gold's advantage is review sentiment (79% vs 63%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Spades Gold sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Hokm+ sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Hokm+ holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hokm+ has 45K ratings behind it against 4.3K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 79% of Spades Gold's written reviews are positive against 63% of Hokm+'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Spades Gold ships an update every 5 months, Hokm+ every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
