# ChatterPix vs Artsteps

The clearest difference is review sentiment: ChatterPix at 78% against Artsteps's 24%. ChatterPix also leads on ratings volume (1.7K vs 1) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months). Artsteps's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Artsteps holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ChatterPix has 1.7K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 78% of ChatterPix's written reviews are positive against 24% of Artsteps's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ChatterPix ships an update every 2 months, Artsteps every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
