# IELTSpeaking vs 新东方雅思Pro

The clearest difference is update cadence: IELTSpeaking at every 6 days against 新东方雅思Pro's every 3 weeks. IELTSpeaking also leads on ratings volume (1.2K vs 89). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. IELTSpeaking sells 17 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and 新东方雅思Pro sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for IELTSpeaking against 4.6 for 新东方雅思Pro. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: IELTSpeaking has 1.2K ratings behind it against 89, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 94% and 94% positive.

IELTSpeaking ships an update every 6 days, 新东方雅思Pro every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
