# IELTSpeaking vs IELTS Prep App

IELTSpeaking and IELTS Prep App both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 94% of IELTSpeaking's written reviews are positive against 60% of IELTS Prep App's. IELTSpeaking also leads on ratings volume (1.2K vs 68) and update cadence (every 6 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. IELTSpeaking sells 17 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and IELTS Prep App sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for IELTSpeaking against 4.7 for IELTS Prep App. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: IELTSpeaking has 1.2K ratings behind it against 68, so its average is the more settled of the two.
