# Vivint vs FLC App

The clearest difference is rating: FLC App at 5.0 against Vivint's 4.6. FLC App also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). Vivint's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (865K vs 7). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

FLC App holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Vivint has 865K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Vivint ships an update fortnightly, FLC App every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
