# RTM vs Spotlit

RTM and Spotlit both sit at 5.0 stars, but that hides the real split: 99% of Spotlit's written reviews are positive against 27% of RTM's. Spotlit also leads on ratings volume (24 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

RTM holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Spotlit has 24 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 27% of RTM's written reviews are positive against 99% of Spotlit's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

RTM ships an update monthly, Spotlit every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
