# French Papers vs Toopost

The clearest difference is ads: French Papers at none against Toopost's shown. French Papers also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.1). Toopost's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. French Papers sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Toopost sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

French Papers ships an update every 3 months, Toopost every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
