# Chatbooks vs RoccosPhotoFrames

The clearest difference is monetization model: RoccosPhotoFrames at free against Chatbooks's free with in-app purchases. RoccosPhotoFrames also leads on iOS requirement (14.0 vs 18.0). Chatbooks's advantage is ratings volume (250K vs 1) and chart position (#208 vs unranked). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

RoccosPhotoFrames holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Chatbooks has 250K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Chatbooks ships an update every 9 days, RoccosPhotoFrames every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
